I got out fishing in southern MN last week. Action wasn’t hot, but there was enough to keep me interested. On the day, I caught mooneye, shorthead redhorse, silver redhorse, carp, and northern hogsucker.

Floating down the Zumbro years back saw quite a few of those hogsuckers and cool to see one out the water. Nice fish.

They don’t get very big, and they fight less than a wet sock, but I still think they’re pretty cool fish.

Put a white tip on the tail and they could be a walleye.
