Anyone heading out next week for the MN early youth gun season? My boys and I will be north of Thief River Falls trying to get him his first buck. My 7 year old was mad that he can’t deer hunt yet and I had to promise him he gets first crack at a yote if one steps out. We are leaving Tuesday to get up there early. I might even sit with the bow Wednesday night to “scout” for Thursday… -)

Heading down tomorrow with my boy. I know I am more excited that he is. Hopefully he can hold it together with the time comes.

I was out last night with my youngest, can believe he is 15 already and this is his last youth season. Unfortunately, we did not see a deer but he has high hopes for tonight.

    Good luck everyone.

Heading out to scout another stand right now. The only problem is it is inside the cow fence and they are still out to pasture. We may have to deal with cows but we had 10 different bucks on camera just outside the fence.

Just does and fawns so far for us. Could not get him to take the nice doe tonight, I guess he was leaving her for Joel to take next week.

At least we have a nice view.

Nice job DT! You know when the knees are wobbling that he’s got the fever. That is one he will always remember. I still remember both my boys first deer and it stands out more to me than any deer I have shot.

    Congrats to your son!
