nhammInactiveRobbinsdalePosts: 7348July 7, 2014 at 11:05 am #1438212That’s what this guy came on too, had some worms in the work van for suckers that sat to long and was all mush, or maybe I should say marinated. Haha
Fred ScottPosts: 34July 7, 2014 at 3:00 pm #1438277Great catches everyone! I got one to show of a young cat fishing client this last spring on Lake Champlain. Good luck to you all this season!

July 7, 2014 at 5:19 pm #1438317Between that one and the one you posed in the Okuma thread, them’s some nice cats! Never thought about cats in Champlain so it is nice to see someone posting from up that way.
In fact the one in the other thread could be the mysterious ‘Champ’!
nhammInactiveRobbinsdalePosts: 7348July 7, 2014 at 11:05 pm #1438392Holy catfish! Surprised that thing didn’t pull her in, must have been quite the battle for her, good for her and nice fish.
July 8, 2014 at 7:35 am #1438442There is no doubt that smile was not Photoshopped on her face. I bet she had a blast reeling a cat that size in. I bet she’ll be talking about it too for the rest of her life!
July 8, 2014 at 5:20 pm #1438620Pulled this 30 incher from pool 2 last night caught on cut sheephead.

July 9, 2014 at 12:37 pm #1438801These last 6 fish were caught using a #6 treble with the barbs pinched down and Sudden Impact fiber bait.
Fred ScottPosts: 34July 9, 2014 at 2:18 pm #1438831Thanks for the kind comments guys! Lake Champlain is a great cat fishing lake. Our average is about 10 lbs, but we have landed cat’s in the low 30 lb range. We also have broke 25 lb test mono on fish that just wouldn’t stop or turn, so the choice is tighten the drag or get spooled. That don’t happen very often though. Good luck guys!
July 13, 2014 at 7:38 am #1439859I pulled in this one yesterday in about 20 fow on the Minnesota. 10.75 lbs, a personal best channel for me!

July 14, 2014 at 12:28 pm #1440185I’m a little late getting in on this thread but I would like to comment. I was there in the boat back in May right next to Ken’s when that rod went down and Little nine year old Drew got to fight that 25 pounder in front of all of us who were gathered for lunch in the boats. It made a great lunch even better.
August 4, 2014 at 5:27 pm #1444096Here’s one my girlfriend caught on the Minnesota last Saturday night on Secret 7. I caught a 13.5# around midnight on a bullhead while fishing flats, but circumstances did not allow for a pic..
