Just noticed that the Full Throttle walleye rules indicate that anglers are limited to one rod only.
Does that apply to the river as well?
Not much of an issue for the April event, but the later, trolling events would certainly be impacted by a one rod only rule.
we were allowed 2 lines per angler last season.

Anglers will be required to comply with all state and local regulations regarding the number and type of fishing lines legally allowed in the tournament. Participants will be allowed to use only one rod per angler. No live bait in all Bass tournaments. Live bait is permitted in walleye events.
If it really is one rod….break out the Dubuque and Miller rigs, and the sliders in July.

Sliders? Just learned about the Miller and Dubuque rigs this past weekend.
used with planner boards in the great lakes to troll spinners/spoons/cranks it is just a gator clip used for down riggers with line attached behind and clipped on your line in between rod and the board. Fish are brought in by hand like your tip up fishing. Method is used when limited to 2 rods in a tournament in states where 3 lines are allowed.
