Finally got a flow under 30000 cfs for the first time since early March I believe, level is stable and clarity is getting better. Picking up the new boat Saturday, only problem left is the river is mostly ice now…
I guess it’s par for the course this year. Who’s got open water and ramps so I can try out the new boat without banging into ice bergs?

John, the 25th ave.ramp in Clinton might be your best bet.

We could always hit Lake Erie on the way home.

From the looks of the forecast, I guess you could back it out on the ice . Then drill a couple holes and jig over the side. That might be your only option. The highs next week are in the single digits, that just SUCKS ! It’s hard to think the only open water is 6 hours north at Evert’s. Good luck with your new rig.

Sounds like it might be a party at Evert’s. Who wants to ride in the boat on the way up?

Tony, I actually thought about fishing while there, but the boss gave me the “you’re kidding, right” look. We know what that means.
