Despite a nasty drop in temperature and a rather persistent wind I was able to get the Skeeter out on Pool 4 today with good friend Darrell K. Water temps were 35-36 degrees and while the pitching bite didn’t turn up much during the morning, the afternoon vertical bite brought quite a few nice 15-19″ sauger to the boat. Even with less than 1′ visibility the natural colors seemed to yield the best results.

Though BK is walking around the resort in arm floaties, Everts is still high and dry with plenty of parking and a good spot to launch. The ringworm bite was good today so make sure to see Dean and stock up before heading out!

For all those wondering, the river is still very fishable. Not too much debris in the water, but we did notice 2 cans which were barely submerged. One is a red can across from where Hay Creek dumps in above Bay Point and the other is a green can above the Colville no-wake zone. Take it easy between spots, keep your eyes open and you’ll be fine.

Thanks to DK for sharing the boat today! Good luck to everybody going out this weekend!

Ummm Matt? Those pink “arm floaties” are called “fuchsia water wings”.

    Thanks for the report!

See ya down here on Sunday.
