Went out this am with two buddies, started at lock n dam 10, went to blackhawk, and ended the day back at lock n dam 10. Nothing but dinks. There must be an incredable class of walleyes from last year. Of the 80 that we caught, 70 were 10 inch walleyes. Amazing how the size was almost the same every time we pulled in a fish. Excitment for the day was catching two sturgeon. Also caught 3 channel cats. We couldnt buy a fish over 16 inches at lock n dam 10. Went to blackhawk, ice all over the river….and dnr. Apprently someone hit ice n flipped there boat. Hope they are alright. Not a bite around blackhawk. Heard from one guy they were catching fish at lock n dam 9 but he said it was like a war zone up there with so many boats, and rude behavior. He said they caught a bunch of dinks around twin islands. But nowhere else. How come at this time of the year the bigger saugers and walleyes are not biting? Good luck fishing.
