VHF radio

    Got a new VHF radio for the boat. Just wondering what channels I should program into the scan feature. I know 16 for sure. But what local (around Red Wing) channels should I put in for barge traffic, locks, anything local of interest. I have the Coast Guard chart that shows ALL the channels. But just looking for the best local channels that have traffic. Please and Thank you.

    14 Locks
    13 Tow to tow

    All you really need is 14 and 16.
    There’s chatter on 68 and 69 but it’s normally boaters yacking about stuff.
