I bought a box of turkey loads last week and when I got home I noticed that on 3 of the shells the buffering was leaking out of the shell. The coating at the end of the shells were brital and flaked off allowing the buffering to come out.
How can I seal them up safely so they do not leak or malfunction?

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

I’d take them back and get a new box of shells.

I always drip a little candle wax on the seam. In the old days all paper shells were either dipped in wax or had it on the seam. I don’t think a retailer can take ammo returns. When I had a problem with some shell I dealt with the Manufacturer and resolved it with them.

I have had a lot of buffered shells leak like that over the years. You can drip a bit of wax on them, but I think it unnecessary. Mine always performed well and stayed water resistent.
