Iowa Great Lakes Challenge – Free St. Croix Rod

Jolly Ann Marine and Outdoor will be giving away a new St. Croix Mojo Bass Crank Bait Rod at the first NBAA Bass Tournament held on the Okoboji Chain of Lakes on May 8th, 2010. The rules are that anyone who signs up as a member will be eligible for the drawing. Only current NBAA members or new members who fish the May 8th tournament will be eligible. Membership fees are only $35 annual and you may register online on the NBAA website or sign up the day of the tournament. There will be other prizes and drawings for members throughout the season as well.

National Bass Anglers Association (NBAA) will conduct an Ultimate Challenge Tour in NW Iowa in 2010. This is a team tournament series. Entry fees are $140 per team, which includes big bass. NBAA is a national organization that conducts a National Championship each spring for top finishers from each division as well as a Fall Classic for those who participate in at least 4 of the 5 events in any one division. The 2010 Iowa Great Lakes Tour schedule is as follows:

May 8th – Okoboji Lake, Emerson Bay Ramp (Open Event – no membership required)

June 12th – Spirit Lake, Templar Ramp (Open Event – no membership required)

July 17th – Spirit Lake, Templar Ramp

August 21st – Brushy Creek, Taylors Island Ramp

September 25th – Okoboji Lake, Emerson Bay Ramp

Membership fee is $35 per person per year. Members can participate in any NBAA tournament. You must be a member to fish all the tournaments with the exception of the 2 open events. Only NBAA members will earn National Championship qualifying points. You can register at the ramp the morning of the tournament starting at 5:00am or by completing the early registration form and mailing that in.

Our Lodging head quarters of this division will be the Rodeway Inn. Mention you are participating in the NBAA tournament to receive a discount on your room for the night.

We will be extending the St. Croix Rod give away until the weigh in at the Spirit Lake Open.

Here are the results from the Okoboji Open earlier this month. We also took a few photos of the teams as they weighed in.

If you are available please come and check out what the NBAA has to offer. The Spirit Lake Open will be on June 12th launching from the Templar Boat Ramp. We will launch at safe light and fish until noon. Then entry fee is $140 per team. If you would like to compete for points and wish to purchase a membership you may do so at the ramp. Annual membership is $40.
