I just purchased a 2016 Ice Castle fish house. Not a fan of the factory thermostat and looking to replace it. It’s a heat only thermostat, doesn’t run the AC and has only 2 wires so there is no common wire. Any recommendations? Anybody else replace there thermostat I the same situation? Thanks. Chad

Most Hunter digital thermostats work in any temps.
A lot of other brands won’t work until they’re above freezing. You need to trick them or jump the wires with a hemostat for awhile.
No need to with Hunter. It can be any temp, just turn it to “heat” and you get heat.
One set of batteries easily makes it through the season.
I keep the analog in the shack as a backup (in case the Hunter batteries fail in the cold) but haven’t had to use it since.

Just like bman said keep the original as a back up.
