Here’s a couple cools shots I got this weekend of a sunken bridge in my local reservoir.

Share some of your pics for us to enjoy!

I still suck (big time) at reading and using my unit correctly, but those are cool images. Unreal how different the info is vs the 2d sonar return.

Here’s one I took a few summers ago on the small lake by my house while breaking in my kicker motor. Pretty obvious fish crib with a northern/musky laying next to it.

I have the helix 10 and I’ve seen similar things and want to save the image. How do you do that. Do you need a sd card to save it on? Thanks.

Yes…put a memory card into the second/empty slot next to your mapcard…mine always seems to work better with the empty sd card to be in the left-hand slot, but I’m not sure if or why that matters.

    To turn on the feature:
    – go to the Accessories tab
    – turn Screen Snapshot to “On”
    – go to the Views tab
    – turn Snapshot and Recording View to “Visible”

Now when you mark a waypoint it will save a screenshot as a .png file. I like to convert them to .jpg files for easier editing and use online after I upload the pictures from my sd card to my computer.

Here’s a video demonstrating setup for both Snapshot and Sonar Recording:

Thanks for the input. I just bought the unit and is still working to understand the great capabilities this unit provides. Wow I’m impressed!!!

Man, if I could get my SI to pick up stuff like that even half as well as yours, I’d be a happy camper.

I don’t want to derail this thread too much, but does anyone have a recommendation for someone who specializes in marine electronics tuning/installation on here? Preferably someone in NW Wisconsin, Duluth, or the North metro?

I’m pretty sure he does on-the-water electronics instruction/tuning.
Great articles, online videos, and for-purchase instructional videos. I also very highly recommend one of his 1-day seminars.
