    what the devil is Rip-Rap? It seems to be used in every other post and I have never heard some explain what it is.

    Shoreline that is covered with rock/bolder/rubble. Man made, not natural. Placed there mainly to prevent erosion.

    Thanks. That is what I always assumed but I am a programmer and need everything spelled out EXACTLY….
