White Bass Bite Picking Up

    The white bass are on the feed. These fish can from a current break below the power plant on pool 5. They were scattered from 5-15′. Had about 15 on firecracker/chart paddletail and crome 1/4 blaidbait. the best one went 18″ and it was a bull.

    John, the WI state record white bass was less than 18″ long.

    That white bass run is one of my favorite bites of the year.

    Arrgh …One of the Yoopers(Ron) and myself both caught big Whites 18″ and 18.5″ last season…I’ll see if I can find the pics…
    They are mighty fine eating…

    50 degrees in the main channel…higher in the backwaters.
