I squeezed in a little panfish scouting this afternoon and found some fish ultra-shallow on a few of my favorite early season spots. Water temps ranged from 54-58 degrees in the shallow stuff. Pike, Bass, Perch, Bluegills, Pumpkinseeds, and Crappies were all out to play. Pink VMC Nymphs under a fixed float did the damage. Ten more days and then it’s Walleye time!

Awesome pics. Good to see the panfish starting to bite. Can’t wait till the walleye season as well!

    A blast indeed.

Water temps this morning in Walker bay were still 45-52 degrees, warming up fast though.
