Any one ever heard of this rod? My friend found it in his attic and took it out of the plastic.

Looks like a 2 piece fly rod and since the name is Palo Verde then I’ll guess its a fly rod from/made in California?
Maybe made for fly fishing trout in the Sierra region of California?
Try narrowing your search down to that region and you may find something?

I’m not sure it’s a fly rod by looking at the handle…But I did find an old Palo Verde catalog on E-Bay from 1953 and it looks like they made higher-end fishing rods judging by the prices listed….$19.95 was quite a bit of money in 1953.
They were made in El Cajon CA
