North Star Lake – Marcell, MN

My family rented a cabin on this lake for next week, does anybody know how the bass fishing on this lake is?

Fun lake. I hit it for Ski’s but hit a Large mouth now and again. Watch for low light and early AM’s, this is a very clear lake. Good structure, pretty simple to find good area’s to work.

Find the pads, the bass are there, some nice ones too!! I did pretty well flipping a floating rap into the openings of the pads and just twitching it, slammin!! The lake right across the road(Caribou) has some dynamite, sumo smallie action(fish them deep), great rainbow and splake fishing as well. Spider lake just up the road has good eye fishing and some huge bass as well as skis. I spend a week up there each year over the 4th, I bounce around some of the old haunts. There are some GREAT lakes within 10 miles. I love that area!!
