MN River shorefishing

Hey guys,

I’m new to the Mankato/ St. Peter area and am wondering if there are any decent shorefishing opportunities on the MN river for walleyes or white bass?

Or, are the boat launch accesses pretty much it? Also, are there key features that a guy should look for when river fishing walleyes?

Those MN River guys are pretty tight lipped with their white meat.

Might want to use google maps to help locate spots.
