    Can anyone tell me the best place to launch the boat to access the Milwaukee Harbor area?

    McKinley park is the one I used.

    McKinley or South Shore for a lot less crowded option but also not as nicely equipped.

    McKinley Park. Great ramp, multiple docks and ramps and fish cleaning facility.

    Another vote for McKinley.Much better maintained than South Shore,at least it was years ago.You can launch with any wind at McKinley,too many SE winds mess up South Shore.

    I drive past South Shore often for McKinley, but it depends where you want to end up fishing. Both are good. I’m less comfortable at the South Shore ramp at night, personally. Less lighting, no one around…. If you launch there, stay at no wake through all the areas inside the wall.
