    Can a HDS Gen1 work with LSS2?

    also

    How can you tell the difference between the HDS Gen1 and HDS Gen2? Does it say on the outside or do you have to look on the menu somewhere?

    I know a LSS-1 will work with a Gen2 but not sure the other way around.

    A Gen2 will say Gen2 on start up. Gen2 gimbals are black. Gen1’s gimbals
    are grey.

    The LOWRANCE label on the front of a Gen1 is black. It’s white on a Gen2.
