Brian, I was going to ask if it was a Ionic 125 amp, as most of the bass guys are running that one, and have for years without issues. There has been a couple issues of what you describe on SHO’s, but as far as what I have herd, they all ended up being related with the powerpole charging setup, or also a loose ground. Some have run a second ground to play it safe.
They are running the Ionic 125s wide open on takeoff with a fully charged battery without issue. Go to the bass boat central forum, and post up your issues on the electrical sub category. They are quite knowledgeable about these things there. Recommended or not, SHO’s are running trouble free on lithium starting batteries, and have been for years.
