Large Crappie Saturday

    I finally checked out one of my Crappie spots and the action was superb. I was able to ice 3 dozen+ crappies with 10 over 14″ including this double. I’m truly thankful for being able to live in the leech lake area.

    I hear Leech has been hot after dark for big eyes as well. Decisions, decisions. You do indeed live in a fantastic part of the state!

    Thanks for the update. How deep did you find them?

    14 f.o.w. and just outside of some coontail James. It was 50/50 on the spoon or minnow. The smaller ones would reject the spoon and take the minnow but the biggies moved in and ate the spoon like cookie monster.

    Very nice!! Always a good time to get into them when they are the size of a plate or larger.
