BK is has gone home and the inmates are running the asylum.

I promised a topic everybody would have a opinion on.

Rock & Rolls greatest bands from the 60’s through the 80’s.

Deep Purple, Zeppelin, Boston, The Who, Pink Floyd, Hendrix, Joplin, Steppenwolf.

List your favorite band. No boy bands or any crap from 90 on to today. Real Rock & Roll, the kind that you blew speakers out with.

I like a ton of different genres from this era but if it must be rock n roll. Off the top of my head

    Jimi
    The doors
    Fleetwood Mac
    Neil Young
    Tom petty
    Bob seger
    Velvet underground
    Chuck berry
    Janis Joplin

Growing up I was the biggest Doors & jimi fan in the world. If I had to pick today I’d pick Neil Young or jimi or velvet underground.

Neil Young was my first ever concert at 14. I also saw led zeppelin in 98

I’m a fan of most listed already, but when it came to blowing out the speakers, AC/DC’s Who Made Who was it for me in the eighties.

There is really only two types of music. Country and Western. Of course there are greats like Garth and George…

Back when Technics was the go to stereo system and had around 400 watts of power across some fantastic speakers I would crank up in no certain order.
    The Godz
    Uriah Heep
    Zepplin
    Black Sabbath
    Nazareth
    The doors
    Pink Floyd
    Jethro Tull

I like everyone that was listed. I have not seen my favorite. Supertramp and Bill Square were my favorites. I didn’t see Van Halen.

Allman Brothers Band is tough to beat. Live – Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band did a 4 hour show in Milwaukee in 1980 that was incredible.

You asked for greatest rock and roll band…

AC/DC hands down. Whether you go by albums sold, total hit song catalogue, or playing in front of hundreds of thousands of fans at once all over the world.

You wanna get real controversial…I’m 10000% a Brian Johnson guy and don’t even know if I’d like them if Bonn Scott had remained lead singer.

Depends on when, where, and the quality of the sound system but all around just the best sound and from a instrumental mesh of music Little Feat Waiting for Columbus is just a damn good album and with good sound system you can hear it all. Chicago is good, The Doors are good. Led Zep is good when in the mood for it, Pretty much just listen to 26 on XM radio and you will be rocking all day long!!

Surprised Lynyrd Skynyrd hasn’t been mentioned. I agree, zepp is the greatest classic rock band of all time. Some other good ones I didn’t see are traffic, mountain, Golden earring, Jeff beck, and Jefferson airplane
