clam portable ice house

    just got a “free” clam 5600 from my brother..after replacing 1 support pole i find that the plastic “c” clips that holds the poles together have snapped.. i looked at the calm site and new ones are $15..there must be a better way..any thoughts..

    i’ve been to a # of hard ware stores no one has any thing even close..bought a 3/4 inch cooper tee and it’s close but no go so far..pvc way to big..used conduit for the support pole worked great..any ideas ? no access to a 3d printer

    call canvas craft in ramsey, I picked some up there a few years back. I don’t think I paid that much for them

    I made a couple extra poles for mine and used conduit. I just cut the conduit with a jig saw so it was slightly smaller than the pipe. Worked good so far.

    Is this what you’re looking for? I picked 6 of these up at 4 Seasons in Red Wing for next to nothing during their Crazy Days Sale. Thought they’d fit my Clam but don’t.     those are what clam is selling for $15 each i’m looking for “c” clips better to collect dust in your garage than mine..thanks for the thought..did you find any that fit ? and where ?

    I think that I saw them last year at Scheels in Sioux Falls. Don’t see them on their website, but might be worth checking if you have one close by.

    I have an entire set of aluminum spacer poles in my recycling pile that came from an old polar sport trap. I measured and the c clips are 3/4″ on those. If anyone can use them, let me know. Free & delivery possible to N. St Paul.
