I am looking for the Gold ST CROIX spring bobbers but see that they no longer make these. They now come in a dull stainless steel finish.Anyone know who may have some of the old Gold ones in stock? Thanks in advance. Pete

Not sure where you are from, but I recall seeing some at the La Crosse Gander Mtn. not that long ago.

I bought one there on Thursday or maybe Wednesday. Either way, they only had the stainless steel ones. They work just fine though.
January 15, 2012 at 7:39 pm #1028107The difference is what it is made of. My Gold springs I have had on for many years since they came out.I looked at the new ones at Gander Mountain and they were dull and tarnished in their sealed plastic tube, they are not a quality SS I am sure.Also they are now $9 a piece!

What difference does color make in a spring bobber???
Orange= really lite (panfish)
Pink= Medium (panfish/Perch maybe…)
Yellow= Heavy (walleye or something heavier which seems odd to me why you would need one that heavy)clickerPosts: 130January 16, 2012 at 12:48 pm #1028357Meleens up at Mille Lacs had an encap with tons of them last weekend also.
