Went to Iowa this morning for an hour. Scored my biggest Iowa of my life. I gigantic male brown just an eyelash under 26 inches. Is in my freezer now and I am going to do some research on good taxidermists before I take it to one. Only have one photo

November 9, 2009 at 1:43 am #814669was targeting stocker bows to scratch my itch. Had caught 2 already. The water was gin clear. Was throwing a size 9 panther martin. The beast came out from under a huge boulder and freight trained the spinner. Blood from gills almost instantly. Kinda short battle. Tried to revive. No luck.
I don’t throw obvious dead fish back in. The coons can catch their own trout.November 9, 2009 at 11:52 am #814718Look at the big hook jaw!! What a trophy. Glad you didn’t feed the coons, I agree, they can catch their own. Congrats.
