    hmmm… Not exactly 100% sure I’d want to be out on the ice. There may still be good ice but I for one would not be out there. If you do plan on hitting the ice you are probably going to need a plank to span from shore to the ice. Panfish and rough fish are the only fish in season as of now.

    Its starting to break up but probably not a great weekend to fish it. Bring a camera. Lots of eagles and migrating waterfowl around.

    The Croix under the MN side of the Stillwater bridge is open now. It’s a little late this year.

    Don’t go out on the ice, the river is opening up quickly! do as Eric suggested, bring your camera for some great wildlife watching.

    Just took a ride down to the river, I’m pretty sure you dont want to be out there.

    IF YOU ARE REALLY ITCHING TO FISH
    I would shore fish at the Lake Mallilue dam on the WI side or try near the power plant on the MN side

    It’s the lake that is the headwaters of the St.Croix north of Hole in the wall casino.Not the one by Stillwater. Never been there, maybe I got the names mixed up?
