Had to let my boy Ranger go Monday morning.
Raised him from 8 weeks to 12 1/2 years. Best friend I could have ever hoped for!
Dam I’m going to miss him.

Had to let my boy Ranger go Monday morning.

Dam I’m going to miss him.
Oh what a pretty boy, all that red fur. RIP Ranger. He’s joining a great group of pets up in the IDO sky.
Maybe he will meet Star up there and tag team some birds. Got a buddy likely putting his dog down this weekend too, just a tough tough part of life.
Ranger, team up with Woody, Forrest, Baxter, Duffy, Jethro and Cody and teach them how to retrieve!
RIP Woof.
Out living our best buds is not fair…..we really don’t deserve dogs. Sorry for your loss
Sorry for your loss wildfan. Been through it as well recently.
I love a white face on an old dog. It’s symbolic of a good life.
Rest in peace Ranger, another good boy joined the great IDO dog park in the sky.
Those pictures say a lot wildfan, good choice. “Best friend” says it all for now, but we want to say more just to let our pups know how important they are to us.
We knew/know who they are!
Oh! Sorry for the lost of you best friend. We know how you feel.
Sorry for your loss wildfan.I know most on here have been down that road.RIP Ranger.
A toast to Ranger and all of our owners.
may your fields be burr free and full of,pheasants, ducks, rabbits, etc galore.
when their tails wag the last wag,its not so long for now,it means,,,,see you soon and thanks for taking care of me while I was here.
I gotta quit now before my tears short out the keyboard.

Sad. I know exactly how you feel. Limes Disease took my favorite. You will still dream about your best hunts. You will still think about them too. Cherish this. I know I cannot comfort you in any way, but I will mourn with you. As I remember my Ripley. God Bless. Btw, in Heaven, we dont miss and get the “eye” from our dogs.
Thank You for all the nice comments.
Reminds me of the first pheasant Ranger retrieved before I trained him.
Out behind my place I wounded a rooster and he ran into the marsh. Ranger went after him and was gone for a long time.
I called and called, well I decided to go back to the house and see if he came back and there he was with the bird in his mouth and grinning from ear to ear lol.
Sorry for your loss wf. I’m sure Rangers final resting place is loaded with pheasants. RIP Ranger
Very sorry for your loss. He will find some awesome
friends in heaven !

Very sorry for your loss. He looks and sounds like a great dog. You gave him the best life a dog could get.
Truly a tough time sorry for your loss. I had to put my old girl down last fall. Made it to almost 16. She was not a hunter but just the dam best friend a guy could ask for. She never knew what a leash or a chain was. Like all the dogs we’ve had she was a shelter dog. Something special about a shelter dog I believe.
Now I have to decide if I want to get another one. I hate going through the heart ache of losing them but I’m at the age myself where the next one might out live me!
