Anyone here have any exp or recommendations for what kind of lures to pack? We rented a house on the canal for a week in late March. Thanks!

Zoom Flukes, paddletails, Gold or chrome Amce Kastmasters, maybe a small jerbait as well. That’s typically what I bring with me. By no means an expert but have caught fish on them. Live shrimp is pretty tough to beat if you want to go that route.

Also look up the dropper loop rig if you don’t know it already. Quick and easy rig for live bait and you can use multiple hooks too.

mahtofire14 pretty much nailed it on the head. Plastics are going to probably be the way to go. In winter baitfish gets scarce, but shrimp become plentiful and there are more larger shrimp than in the warm months. So this is what the fish are going to be used to eating and searchign for to eat.
