I just found this forum today and it looks like a good place to hang out.
We have a cabin on Grassy Portage Bay we visit several times per year.
Usually catch a lot of Bass, Northern, and in the early part of the season, Walleye.
Used to be we had crappies by the boat load but the haul’s been rather lean over the past few years.
Can anyone recommend a bay on Rainy that’s good for lake trout? We have easy access to many of the bays, but I haven’t found managed to find any trout.
The only lake I know of is Scattergood, but with the re-routing of highway 502, it’s nearly impossible to get in there anymore and I’d really like to take the family trout fishing.
