just returned from a camping trip, fished out of sand point and namakan lakes. The water temp ranged from 65 to 70, the water level was down four feet, but rising. the fishing was good, walleyes were a little tough, not in the bays as thick do to low water, they were catchable on shallower main lake flats, the northern were in the bay and biting, in 5.5 days, it is safe to say that between five of us we caught around 400 northern most snakes but about 10 were over 30 inches with the biggest 37, the smbass were also going fairly well biggest was 20″ they were found on shallow gravel. all in all a great time.
