Five of us from Wisconsin headed north on the 12th, in the middle of an all day soaker. Our original plans were to fish the river, but at 40,000 cfs, we had to go to plan B. We headed for 4 Mile Bay, and even though the water was full of debris & really dirty, we found fish. Lots of current, so we used big jigs & fished really slow. Many of the big girls had already dropped their eggs, and the fish weren’t very aggressive. Lots of comments that eaters were hard to come by, but what a great problem to have! Not a lot of fish, but some really nice ones. 4 of our guys caught their PB’s, so it was a good trip. We are already looking forward to our Fall trip!!
