Are there parts of the River that are concidered in-land waters and fall under the the in-land waters rules? Meaning no game fishing until the season reopens? Example: the Cold Springs Landing, the little inlet before going under the tracks – was told this was in-land waters – true? And if parts of the River are concidered in-waters, what makes them that way? Thanks for any help.

Anthing outside of the railroad grades that parallel the river on both sides is considered inland waters.

Cold springs is considered inland as it is east of the tracks.

All of Pool 1. Pool 2 has it’s own special regs.

    Hi Cherie,
All I can think of is the dnr could not designate all of the Miss R. open all year, it would just be just too huge of an area. and decided to have a special border water reg for no closed seasons, and that starts at the town of Prescott, down river to IA border.
    Have a great ’07 Season..
    Jack..
