Does anyone have a solution to paint flaking off of an aluminum boat hull? It happened once before and Tracker paid for it and now 2 years later it is starting to flake again.
Would spray paint work? I just need a way to stop it from spreading.
Generally, once it has lost it’s adhesion like that, you are kind of screwed. When doing body work, whenever I had bare metal there was a specific process to help the paint adhere. Self etching primers come to mind. As well as 2 part epoxy primers.
self etching primer is the only solution unless u are willing to scotch brite the entire area and repaint……good luck
