A beauty too.
How did Bacs look? I missed everything after the first. Had hockey tonight.
I’d love to start playing in a men’s league again. I did for a few years and it was a blast and a workout.
Back’s looked like the normal technician he is. I’ll have to review that second goal, because he may have been out of position. He was going to his right and stopped the initial shot with his left toe allowing the rebound to go out front.
Back to adult leagues. I was the self appointed garbage man, so I can appreciate a goal like Cooke’s. Its not easy being creative.
I just hope he doesn’t fall victim to the scouting reports from last year when every team was scoring 3 goals a game high glove side. He’s a good goalie but I fear this is his major weakness.
I’m headed to halifax next week to see the Memorial Cup champs Mooseheads play. The group I played with last night goes up there every fall for this. I got to see Nathan MacKinnon play for them last year. Wow is he talented. Can’t wait to see the wild play the avs.

Both SO goals were stick side I believe.
Yes, that’s correct. Kopitar’s was an involved move to his forehand, Carter’s was the straightforward “Koivu special” backhand.
I think that Backs has 2 problems with shootouts. First, its gotten into his head. The second being that he is a more technical goalie. He’s not and acrobatic flopper that is extremely fast.
