A small Ray of Hope.

From an article on the Drudge Report. I copied the list so I am not sure of the links included in the list.

A growing number of firearm and firearm-related companies have stated they will no longer sell items to states, counties, cities and municipalities that restrict their citizens’ rights to own them.

According to The Police Loophole, 34 companies have joined in publicly stating that governments who seek to restrict 2nd Amendment rights will themselves be restricted from purchasing the items they seek to limit or ban.

Extreme Firepower Inc., located in Inwood, WV has had a longstanding policy
that states:

“The Federal Government and several states have enacted gun control laws that restrict the public from owning and possessing certain types of firearms…If a product that we manufacture is not legal for a private citizen to own in a jurisdiction, we will not sell that product to a law-enforcement agency in that jurisdiction.”

York Arms, located in Buxton, ME released a statement following new legislation in New York:

“Based on the recent legislation in New York, we are prohibited from selling rifles and receivers to residents of New York. We have chosen to extend that prohibition to all governmental agencies associated with or located within New York.”

Quality Arms, located in Rigby, ID writes on their website, “elected officials have their own agenda to circumnavigate the truth and destroy the constitution of the United States.”

The site states: “Quality Arms Idaho will not supply and firearm or product, manufactured by us, or any other company nor will we warranty, repair, alter, or modify and firearm owned by any State, County or Municipality who infringes on the right of its citizens to bear arms under the 2nd Amendment.”

Bravo Company USA states:

“The people at Bravo Company USA and BCM support responsible private individuals having access to the same tools of civilian Law Enforcement to affect the same ends…As such Bravo Company’s policy is that law enforcement officials and departments will be restricted to the same type of products available to responsible private individuals of that same city or state.”

What is the police loophole?

There are some states, counties, cities, and municipalities in our great nation that fail to allow their citizens to fully exercise their right to keep and bear arms with restrictions such as magazine capacity or types of firearms that are widely available to citizens of other states, counties, cities, and municipalities. However, these government entities do not place these restrictions upon their own employees, such as police officers. It is important to note that we are against gun control; we are not against any particular government agency or individuals.

What is this list?

This is a list of companies that have taken the step to publicly announce that they will not sell items to states, counties, cities, and municipalities that restrict their citizens rights to own them; therefore closing the “police loophole” themselves.

Yes hats off to these companies, I have shopped from a majority of them and will continue to do so! I too wish some of the bigger companies would come on broad with this thinking!

Doesn’t every private business have the right to refuse service to anyone they choose?

Yes and I am not saying they don’t. But to use the constitution to biatch about parts they don’t agree with I have issue with. If one wants to rewrite the constitution to their favor stand up and have the balls and say it.

I think they just did. As far as I can tell, they just said we don’t like the way you are governing, so you are not welcome in our store. That sounds like someone standing up for what they believe in.

Riverweed, The companies don’t want the constitution rewritten and they are chosing not to do business with those that are trying to rewrite it…therefore I will support them because I believe the same, you don’t have to support them. While we are a free country yet I think it is nice to see a company stand for something even if it means less sales.

is this a moral stand or a finiancial one ?? will those police agencies now buy chinese ?

Not sure how it is a financial one when it will be costing them sales, therefore less revenues to “line their pockets”.

Amen to these companies for standing up and doing this.

This ammo and gun shortage stuff is terrible. Small gun shops are going to be out of business this time next year, and it is all Obamas fault. Small gun shops are on a 2-3 year waiting list to get handguns, semi-automatic rifles, 9mm ammo, .223 ammo, and 22lr ammo. As well as reloading powder and supplies. If they cant get it in on a regular basis, they cant sell it which means no profit and out of business.

See Obummer didnt think about that when he started this crap. Yet his #1 objective this term is to make more jobs! (as long as the are good guys, not the evil people who sell children killers aka guns).

Local shop expects to get the next shipment of .22lr spring of 2015.

The only thing that makes the public less safe is the unbridled growth of government.

Really ,job loss ? I would think the manufacturers of ammo and arms should be hiring like crazy… ordering parts and raw materials like mad and runnin’ around the clock to get product on the shelf ? Now if the issue is s small store having any kind of clout to get product, that is another issue Comes down to $$$
