    just got my boy back and found out he was hit by a car about 8 pm tonight, got out as i was running an errand.if i would have jsut slowed down i would have noticed the gate open. no matter the good or bad times nothing like a good lick from him no matter how bad my day was he knew what to do. gonna miss you bud you were my first true pup.

    I know how that feels. I lost my GSP Daisy about three years ago to a car. My fault. Sorry for your loss sir.

    Truly sorry for your loss, it is like losing a member of your human family.

    If you and when you get ready for another dog, please consider one from the rescue shelters.
    They are online now, and many wonderful dogs are at them.
    We have one here, she was a year and a half old when we got her, house broke,spayed and even chipped. The family that had her could not keep her anymore.
    We are so happy with her.
    Anyhow, give it some thought if and when you get ready for another doggie.

    I have put down my Yellow lab Remington and my Chocolate lab Benelli in the last year. I feel for ya and my thoughts are with u.

    Sorry for your loss. I can’t image how tough it is to have it happen like that. Hang in there.

    Makes me nervous hearing this because we don’t have a patio door that leads to the fenced in backyard.

    Major bummer. I lost my yellow lab a year ago to a speeding car. Those dogs are such a big part of the family and one doesn’t notice until they are gone. Sorry to hear about your dog!

    Don’t beat yourself up over it too much. If you find yourself doing that, just remember all the good memories. I know there are a lot of those, after all he was a dog, but one of the family.
