Spearing open on mn lakes

    Bad Deal i heared they opened Moose And Deer And Spyder to Spearing this year They were all Great Musky lakes

    You do know that the MN DNR admitted that they have not written a ticket for an illegally speared Muskie on the lakes where spearing has been allowed for pike so they lifted the ban on more lakes. Think of it like Deer hunting with antler point restriction or bucks only. I your are not sure do not shoot or in this case throw the spear.

    Why is this such a bad deal? It is illegal to spear muskies here in MN. If you can’t tell the difference, than you shouldn’t be spearing. Same as shooting a wolf and thinking it was a coyote.

    people shoot button bucks all the time by accident, muskies take alot longer to grow and reproduce that button bucks…. spearing on muskie waters is just a bad idea in my opinion! theres alot of money and energy spent on the muskie program inthis state to just throw it away on purpose(poaching) or by accident
