Was up on Winnie on Saturday, and travel is very tough. There is about 18 inches of hard snow everywhere and travel off the main road without a snowmobile will be next to impossible. Fished an area about 2 1/2 to 3 miles out and did not do well. There was a lot of people in this area due to inability to travel out much farther. There were some guys adventuring off on some of the older/drifted in roads but I was by myself and did not want to spend my day digging out a stuck truck. Talked to a few guys who got some small perch and a few Walleye’s but nothing outstanding. Hopefully we can get some stable weather and the Resorts can get the road system back rolling again out to the mid-lake humps.
