Shorelines continue to hold the best numbers, yet most of the fish we are seeing are still those 12 to 14 inchers. The 3-7 foot of water seems to be saturated with walleyes. Finding sand areas close to weeds seems to be some of the most productive areas right now. Little stoney, Sugar bar and Ravens point are holding good numbers along with Tamarack point and Muskie bay. The jigs and minnows are still procuing, yet it seems the bigger fish, which seem to be difficult to find, are coming off the spinner/crawler combo’s.
The perch action is somewhat scattered, some of the midlake humps are holding decent numbers, yet those deeper weedlines have some good numbers as well.
The pike continue to tear up the North and East shorelines. It seems that trolling or casting will both produce. The number seven rattle baits are working wonderfully.
