    Here’s a pic of a nice walleye I caught just outside of boat harbor at Nodak Lodge on Big Winnie.

    That’s a nice fish…tell us how you caught this baby. What was its length? Looks like there is some type of plastic bait on there….great going..hoping for one like that in our next tourney.

    Just lucky!!
    The wind had been out of the north all day and had been pushing some really good rollers into the south shore. That evening I started trolling cranks in about 8 ft of water on the weedline. There was one small inside turn where I always caught a fish, so the next pass through, I threw a 4″ tube and reeled it slowly over the weed tops. 3rd cast. Caught 3 more pike, but no more walleyes.
    Nothing like being at the right place, at the right time.
