The bite slows this week…mayflies pick up pace

    Well this week we had one of the largest bughatches(mayflies) that I can remember. The fishing has slowed a bit as well. There is still a bunch of fish from those small ones to slot fish and eaters out in the middle, but they seem to like the flies more then the leches and crawlers. If you keep going through them, you will get a few to bite, then being on the move to the next group seem to be the best option right now. Hopefully the hatch is about over, not counting on it though. So real signs of the magnum perch in the deep water, but things should change over the next couple weeks for them. Well have a safe 4th and hope to see yo on the water. I will be on vacation from the 5th to the 12th, will give a report when I get home. I am staying on Winnie for the week, should get plenty of fishing in….
