Ice Report 12-9-13
Today our ice condition report is 8-14 inches on the shoreline line out 150-175 yards. This area has some flooding due to the snow cover. On the newest ice out 200 yards and beyond is 5 inches as of today in the few areas we checked. Once you drill a hole on the 5 inch ice the water comes up 1 inch above the ice due again to the weight of the snow cover. We will continue to check the conditions this week and if all goes as planned, we will be letting foot, atv and sled traffic this weekend at your own risk, as we can not check all areas on the ice.
