3 Mile and 12 Mile Lakes in SW Iowa

    I’ve never fished it…but Twelve Mile was poisoned in the summer of 2005 to eliminate yellow bass and carp, so I doubt there is much in the way of crappie fishing there yet.

    I’ve had some good reports from 3 mile last week. Lots of crappies caught by some pretty average fishermen, that’s always a good sign.

    will be down too 3-mile May 13-17,this will be my uncle and i 15th year down there,maybe twelve mile will be good like it was in the past.It will come back!!!!Good luck all and maybe will see you all at the lake. bigelkboy
