I’ll have to see what I can get done before Monday when I’ll be in Red Wing again and for the last time to work in April.
I think that had the orange line, didn’t it?
Nice meeting you guys! Thanks for the field test.
Yeah orange core.
Yeah thanks again – we had a blast trying new baits and THEY WORKED!
Another awesome looking bait Tom love to see that with a chart paddletail too
Well Dave….its not doable. Not without some real heavy duty tinkering with the molds vents. And that ain’t happen’n. lol That chartreuse tail piece created just enough resistance so that the flow of plastic slowed enough all but stop it from picking up and moving the colorant. The tail area of the body needs to be vented better than the mold is to allow that sort of flow. Nice idea though.
A plain bait color with a line can be done and I have a few of those but the separate taiol color is the onus in getting line colors in the body.
It sure opened my my eyes Tom. What great colors you have. If they were for sale I would buy all your colors of ring worms. Very impressive!!!
Ya know Moxie, I’d answer your pm questions if you’d unlock it from your end. When I try to reply it says you’re not accepting pms.
Here are a few others I toyed with. The interesting part of working with the plastic in this way is that there is no way to predict the outcome of each shot. The top plastic starts with chartreuse, picks up the orange and ends with the chartreuse as a tail core color. Crazy.
