Got my son’s 2019 buck back recently. We had it in the freezer for over a year thinking we were going to do a full shoulder mount. He changed his mind and wanted a Euro done. Saved dad hundreds. Lol. This deer weighed close to 300 pounds.

So since we are on the topic, has anyone ever had a doe head mounted, just to say they did it??? Thinking one day I might??🤔 Might need to butter up the wife though

Did that deer have any signs of trauma any where considering how his rack is sorta funny? Seems to be a lot of them suffer injuries or something along the line and then that happens, definitely a cool looking deer and awesome for your young man!
Perhaps it just got damaged as it was growing I suppose too.

It was kind of hard to tell. Wolves got to the hind end before we found it. I did not see any damage from the stomach forward though.
