I caught my first muskie last week at Clear Lake, IA, and it was 24 inches long, maybe 3 lbs. Last night I was able to hook into this one, probably the biggest fish Ive ever caught. We were fishing jigs/minnows for walleyes, and I knew I had a big fish. Got it landed, 44 inches long with a 22 inch girth, online calculators say it should have been somewhere near 25lbs, I dont know if thats accurate? I got a couple quick pics, and the fish took right back off. If you look closely, it did have a couple scars on it, not sure what from???
