Spinning rod/reel combo for trolling walleyes?

    I’m looking at getting yet another rod for fishing I was just wondering what is everybodys favorite rod reel combo they use? I’d like to keep it around $100 if at all possible. I would mainly be using it for trolling windams on the mississippi river.

    The St.Croix Eyecon series are all $120 or less.

    My choice (I won) is the 7mhm casting eyecon rod, and

    a ABU Garcia 5600 BCX reel, loaded with 10# fluorocarbon

    or the other reel spooled with 15# braid/f.carbon leader.

    They have spinning models for this specific application

    and there are many reels under $100 that can handle

    this type of fishing.

    You can get a Pflueger President combo at Gander that works great for trolling. I paid less than 100 for it. You don’t need a million dollar combo to troll.
