Prop for 90 suzuki/johnson on 165 navigator…….

    I just bought a 90 johnson 4 stroke for my 165cs navigator. It came with an aluminum 14 x 17 pitch and it over revs, 6100-6200 wot…should be 5000-5500. I think I should go with a 14 x 21. The aluminum handles well in turns and does everything I want. I hate to go stainless running rivers like I do. Let me know what ya think………Dave

    I got a 50-4 stroke suzuki/evinrude was told the rpm range is 5900-6500

    I have a 165 Nav with a 90 Yamaha, prop = 14×19, RPM = 5500, 35 MPH or so. Happy with it.
