I have 6 Diawa accudepths that I have done nothing to since I’ve had them. Is it fairly easy to take these apart and grease them?? Or am I going to end up with a mess and not be able to get them back together. Is there any other maintenance I should be doing?

Also I think I remember reading that is was possible to upgrade the drags on these with a carbon fiber one??? Where can I get info. on these.

    Thanks!

Replace all the grease, upgrade the drag and lube the drag washers.

They are not very complex. Scrub the gears with Dawn dish soap and water. The Dawn will degrease the gears very quickly. Dry the gears very well then put cold weather grease in the gear, oil the bearings and you are good to go.
